Message	First - thanks to all who have provided honest advise on the conversion. Second - Back in 2003, I replaced the BOSE system with an Alpine 9803 head unit, Infiniti speakers and a little later, I added a Kenwood WOOX powered sub. And I gota tell ya, compared to the BOSE it just does not have the richness or fullness that I am looking for. (Yes, I did install the Infiniti speakers in modified Bose enclosures to try to keep the sound directed but it just doesn't work for me...) I also fine tuned the Alpine to see if I can get more out of it. It just ain't happeneing. As a comparison, I have an 02 I35 that I feel sounds better than the Alpine/Infiniti/Kenwood set up. I also really do not like the Kenwood sub because it takes up too much room and I do not want to place it on the rear shelf. So, I said to myself, "myself" why not try to restore the BOSE system in the Z to see if I can recover the sound that I feel I am missing. So if anyone thinks I am missing something with the Alpine/Infiniti hardware - I am all ears...
